Mara Simpson
"Living Matter" Republic of Music - Mixed by Tobin Jones in Studio C. 2 tracks “Safe Passage and Each Other” Recorded live in Studio B.
Mara is a multi-instrumentalist, performing artist, producer and composer. Her work seamlessly blends electronic and acoustic instruments, exploring tape machines, analogue synths and field recordings. Her fourth studio album Living Matter (2025), written and engineered in the studio she hand built with friend and collaborated Philippe Nash, was written in response to a set of poems by celebrated poet JLM Morton published in her book Red Handed. Centred around our connection to green and blue spaces, of ancient land and artefact, Living Matter has become a 6Music favourite, been performed live across stages, and designed into an immersive spatial sound installation (Hidden Notes Festival 2025).
Lilly Nagy
The Lilly Nagy EP "Sex Sold Politics" was produced/mixed/mastered by Charlie G
Charlie started working with Lilly in Nov 2025 and together they have created a new direction for Lilly's music. They started by experimenting with different stylistic approaches and different sonic textures, finally settling on a quirky blend, of deep sub-bass synths, tribal percussion, cinematic pads and tribal rhythms, which has created a very different sound for this EP. Charlie has produced and provided instrumentation and live drums and on some tracks also helped with melodic ideas. The first track released was "I'm Healing" followed by "Sex Sold Politics" the title track.
Powell
"We Do Recover" – Diagonal Records Mixed by Tobin Jones in Studio C.
We Do Recover, the new album from Experimental electronic Artist Powell and his first album proper on his own Diagonal Records, is a vitalising record of recovery and a statement of reassurance. The music is intensely emotional and lean, and forms a uniquely expressive story that opens up new ground in the artists's bizarre continuum of synthesised sound — this time triggered by experiences of grief and addiction. Powell has existed of late in an intensive mode of creation that utilises stochastic processes (probabilistic events) and a particular sonic palette.
WAR CLUB
"Monoplanet" - Recorded, produced by Tobin Jones in Studio B Mixed in Studio C.
Monoplanet was recorded in summer 2024 and it is the heaviest work that the band have produced so far. There are elements of sludge, noise, doom, drone and post-punk all woven together in a series of songs that decry the status quo. This album asks the question “A better world is possible, so why can’t we have it?”.
Rozie Gia
Singles "Daydream", "Photo Booths R for Kissing", et al
Rozie Gia is a new emerging artist from Bath. Charlie G has been working with Rozie for several years and has recorded, produced/mixed 8 tracks for Rozie including, "Daydream", "Photo Booths R for Kissing", "Best You Never Had GIrl", and "Rewrite".
Harmony Asia
Emerging artist Harmony Asia's new EP (6 tracks) "I Could Do This" was produced/mixed by Charlie G.
This has been a super rewarding project and Harmony has created a beautiful textured and evolving sound for her new releases. Charlie and Harmony worked together for some months to explore different sound combinations and find a style that really suits Harmony's amazing voice and musical direction.
Compilation
"Something in The Water" is an album released in Oct 2025 by Severn Songs, and features some of the best up and coming new Bristol Artists.
It was a collaboration between Severn Songs and the Gallimaufry in Bristol. Tracks by James Storm, and Deems Experiment were recorded and mixed by Charlie G at SpaceInTime.
